Welcome to the Vancouver Participatory Economics mailing list! This list will be used for announcements, news, information and analysis regarding Participatory Economics. Parecon is an alternative economic system, very different from capitalism, centrally planned communism and previous forms of "socialism." We hope to participate in dialogue, share information, strengthen capacities, collaborate with like minded individuals and groups providing examples both in theory and in practice. We see our struggle for a new economic system integrated with struggles against class, racism, sexism, war, patriarchy, environmental degradation, and similar institutional horrors that threaten all people.
