I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to get in touch about three
events taking place next month as part of the Vancouver Writers Fest (Oct
17-23). I thought these events—which explore issues of gender—would be of
interest to Women, Action and the Media - Vancouver’s community because of
your focus on representations of gender in the media.

The events:

   - *Tomboy Survival Guide* – Wednesday, October 19, 8:30pm at Waterfront
   Theatre
   Featuring Ivan Coyote, Alison Gorman, Pebbles Willekes and Sally Zori
   - *The Natural Way of Things: Charlotte Wood in Conversation with
   Aislinn Hunter* – Wednesday, October 19, 8:30pm at Studio 1398
   - *The Interviews* – Saturday, October 22, 5pm at The Revue Stage
   Featuring: David Bergen, Anosh Irani, Soraya Peerbaye
   - *Odes: Sharon Olds in Conversation with Eleanor Wachtel* – Sunday,
   October 23, 10:30am at Waterfront Theatre

Attached to this email is a one-pager with more information about each of
these events.

To provide some context about the Vancouver Writers Fest: now in our 29th
year, we’re a not-for-profit that draws thousands to hear conversations and
discussions with a range of authors every year.
