I will never attend a VRR event until they truly accept ALL women, including trans women and sex workers, as having a right to personal agency, choices, services, justice and acceptance. Until this change happens, local unions such as HEU and IATSE have decided to withhold funding and support for this specifically ideological organization. Don't let their revisionist history influence your knowledge of feminist activism in Vancouver.

Good afternoon women of WAM! Vancouver  

I am hoping to see you and the women of WAM! Vancouever at our annual Montreal Massacre Memorial on Saturday, December 3rd at the Native Education College (285 East 5th Ave., Vancouver). This is a free, full day event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with lectures and round table conversations as a part of a national day of remembrance and action on violence against women.   

Come to listen to a conversation between Vancouver-based actress, writer and child of the Chilean resistance Carmen Aguirre and long-time activist Lee Lakeman or the many other remarkable women who will be speaking and meeting that day! The full program can be found on our website .
