Good day! My name is Jill (aka Ji!!) Andrew a body image activist from Toronto, ON and co-founder of the annual Body Confidence Canada Awards (BCCAs).
Is anyone interested in joining me as we advocate to END size discrimination? My initial petition demanded we add SIZE as a protected ground in the Ontario Human Rights Code. Long term goal: To have size discrimination recognized throughout Canada's provinces and territories as a human rights violation. I also want to see institutional awareness paid to body-based harassment in schools boards across the country. I'm currently working on making this a reality within my own city board: Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and would be thrilled to connect with others who'd like to collaborate on doing the same in theirs!
