   - How can people with diverse lived experiences dabble in writing and
   publishing their stories?
   - How can working or aspiring journalists, or communications
   professionals working for rad nonprofits, successfully pitch social justice
   stories in increasingly conservative media landscapes?
   - How do we, as media consumers and critics, advocate for more diverse
   women's stories and perspectives and progressive reporting?

*Featuring: Robyn Smith (The Tyee), Jackie Wong (Megaphone) and Sarah
Berman (VICE and others).*

This hybrid panel/workshop will begin with dialogue about our media
landscape and end with focused break-out groups that explore tips and best
practices for beginner and veteran journalists alike, and social justice
activists of all stripes.

Trans welcoming and inclusive space. Light refreshments will be served.
