[Wamvan] Women Pitching Left recap and welcoming to new WAM!mers

Hi folks,

For those of you who couldn't make last Thursday's Women Pitching Left
event at Vancouver Public Library, it was a dynamic night that really
involved the entire audience learning and discussing how to practice and
foster social justice journalism.

Huge thanks to my WAM! chapter co-organizer, Natalie, for facilitating and
doing a ton of the organizing work. We're excited to see how participants
use the information and tools they picked up at the event!

Also welcome to the new listserv members who signed up at Women Pitching
Left! Please feel free to introduce yourself to the list.

Finally, Natalie, Joanna and I are always seeking help with things like
organizing events and initiatives; staffing tables; and small, regular
tasks like putting together the biweekly collection of job postings for the
listserv. If you're interested in volunteering any time with WAM! send us
an email at wamvancouver at gmail.com. One of the great things about our
relative lack of formal structure is that we have the flexibility to work
with your interests, around your schedule.
