With respect to a news hook for the missing and murdered women story, on
December 1st FAFIA, Canada's Feminists for International Action, issued a
heads-up about two reports that will be coming out this spring from
international bodies that have reviewed Canada's handling of the missing
and murdered aboriginal women. Either or both of those reports could be a
news peg. Meghan Murphy has a radio story about FAFIA's call-out that ran
in recent issues of Groundwire and WINGS. The interviewees were Cherry
Smiley and Shelagh Day. Meghan's website is feministcurrent.com - she has
the entire interview with the 2 FAFIA reps on there.
