[Wamvan] Invitation - dialogue, creative exploration of identities: queer, feminist and Christian

Hi everyone,

I wanted to pass along an invitation to all of you to be in dialogue next
month about identity, in particular: queer, feminist and Christian
identities (!). Let me explain…

A wonderful woman I went to journalism school with, named Jenna Tenn-Yuk
<http://jennatennyuk.com/>recently got in touch with me. Next month she’s
coming to Vancouver from Ottawa as the artist-in-residence for Vancouver
Biennale. <http://www.vancouverbiennale.com/> An arts festival and
exhibition that runs in 2-year stints, and brings art and artists from
around the world to our city.

Jenna is now a member of the listserv - welcome Jenna!

Jenna (somewhat) recently came out as gay. She is a woman of colour, and
identifies as feminist. She’s also a Christian, and has struggled with
reconciling these aspects of her identity. She’s written about it in places

*She wanted me to pass along an invitation to any feminists I know, to see
if you’re interested in meeting up with her when she’s here in June. She
wants to organize a spoken word workshop, or other kind of interactive
space, to explore these identities – the intersections and tensions between
them.*
