Thanks for outreaching to WAM in regards to your
journalistic endeavours Trish! :) and, Congratulations!
A subject that affects all people and the right to choose
their own medicines and medical procedures is ...
Medical Cannabis Use -> access and freedom of choice!
As many may be aware ... the first case to face the cnd
Supreme Court in Ottawa is this coming March 20th, 2015 -
regarding Cannabis Derivatives (oils, topicals, food and
drink from medicinal cannabis). These issues are being
reviewed and decided by the Supreme Court and general
public needs some 'real' info/education about the benefits
of this healing herb and Health Canada's / Harper gov in
trying to shut down the patient driven policies that were
created by the feds back in 2001. Quite some history to
this and worth the effort in exposing ... I like to think that
the mainstream media / editors and publishers in Van will
be open to some balanced reporting on these important
issues ...
Not more scare tactics such as the 'Reefer Madness', etc.
of the last 80 or more years ...
soo, thanks in advance Trish for considering researching
into this very current topic - that affects Canadians and
many other countries at this time.
'Cannabis Digest' online / fb / youtube is one source for
info 'n background on the Supreme Court case in March.
*Plus, there is a Vancouver **BC Supreme Court trial starting *
*in Feb 2015 regarding the **MMAR **Appeal (Health Canada) *
*of these related issues ... **v**ery local and of importance to*
*your future readership. *
*For more info on the BC Supreme court trial in Feb, check *
*out the site: http://www.mmarcoalitionagainstrepeal.com/

A bigger picture to all this is the Decriminalization/Legalization
questions regarding the Cannabis plant ... as this, too is a
very current question needing clarity and balanced reporting
in regards to the general public's awareness of these issues.
These above issues and court cases are what I *consider to be **Election
Issues for the 2015 cnd federal elections.*
*One more source that may be of interest is the NORML's*
*Women Alliance of Canada who have a current campaign *
*going on called #338 -->** http://www.normlwomen.ca/blog

New Years Greetings to WAM Vancouver women and thx
to all of you for your important and ongoing work that is necessary in
envisioning and supporting a more egalitarian
society for all - now and for our future generations! (: jj
For ongoing updates on these issues, WAM folks can tune

Feb. 3rd at 11am
