This was totally disgusting.

I think that apology is terrible. Saying that the segment was "in
tremendously poor taste" feels like a euphemism for "it wasn't PC, and now
ppl are mad, so we apologize."

If they don't call it what it was - unabashed misogyny - they're not
acknowledging the impact of what they said and why it's so dangerous. It's
a one-off 'slip up', not a systemic problem they need to address.

Can't help but feel like in these situations, the men involved think
they're only mistake was getting caught / saying what they said on live
broadcast.
