[Wamvan] CKNW/CFOX/Global Hosts Sexism Re: Women in Politics

Thanks, Donna!

Update: The CKNW programming director apologized on air just before 2,
saying he felt the segment was offensive to women and never should have
happened. Host Simi Sara agreed and said the comments were "very wrong and
very offensive." However, we have still not heard apologies from the three
hosts or CFOX. In addition, CKNW host Drex Drexler (the one who CKNW
enthusiastically hired after he became infamous calling Christy Clark a
MILF on his last show) is sticking up for the hosts on Twitter. As much as
I appreciated the programming director's words, I doubt whether they
understand that decisions like hiring Drex probably contributed to an
atmosphere where other hosts feel like it's appropriate to say the kind of
misogynist things that were said this morning.

Anyway, I'm going to keep pushing for official apologies from the hosts,
and you're welcome to, too!
