[Wamvan] A film outing! VIFF?

At the last WAM! Van event, a few of us floated the idea of getting
together about once a month to see a film worth checking out.

*What kind of film?*

Maybe a film that passes the Bechdel test, a film by a woman director, a
film that has feminist content.... anything we think makes potentially
feminist-friendly.

*When can we start?!*

Well, the Vancouver International Film Festival <http://viff.org/> is right
around the corner. It features films in categories like:

   - Women Directors<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5236>
   - Aboriginal and First
Nations<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5188>
   - Disabilities<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5199>
   - Human Rights<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5215>
   - Queer Interest<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5224>and
   - Sex and Eroticism<http://viff.org/festival/films/search?field_film_genre_tid=5230>

... among many others.

Surely we can find at least one film in the bunch that we can see together.

How about we use this thread to toss out a few ideas (films, what they're
about, and when they're playing), and see what people are interested in?
