[Wamvan] Women's History Month event, Oct. 17

Hi all,

The City of Vancouver Women's Advisory Committee (which I'm a part of) and
the Urban Aboriginal Peoples' Advisory Committee are jointly putting on
this year's Women's History Month event in council chambers on Thursday,
October 17. Doors are at 6:30, event starts at 7 p.m.

The following speakers will be sharing stories of and thoughts on
reconciliation:

Christie Lee Charles
Musqueam leader and performer

Winnie L. Cheung(張麗玲)
Director of Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society

Leah George-Wilson (Sisi-ya-ama)
Tsleil-Waututh lawyer, former Chief, current co-chair of FN summit

Loretta Todd
Cree/Metis filmmaker, digital media producer, community leader

Haruko Okano
Local artist of Japanese ancestry

Lillian Boraks Nemetz
Child survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto and Vancouver Holocaust Education
Centre outreach speaker
