Thanks Candace! We will definitely take careful notes and share them shortly after the meeting. Thanks for your support.

For those who haven't heard yet, Candace worked with WAM to create a research report and very comprehensive catalogue of Canadian feminist blogs: http://www.womenactionmedia.org/2013/05/03/new-research-on-canadian-feminist-blogosphere/

At the meeting, we will discuss similar kinds of volunteer opportunities where you can partner with WAM! on a project related to your interests or specialties where we can help give you a platform and help promote work that shares WAM!'s mission of promoting gender justice in the media.

We launched in 2011 and two conferences and several community outreach events later, Georgia Straight featured us last year as one of 2012's best feminist communities. http://www.straight.com/article-782086/vancouver/feminism-flourishes-around-vancouver

I handle our listserv and admin duties mostly while living in Hong Kong and Elyse and Natalie plan and run the monthly Monday Media Mutiny events that have been happening since January. There's no commitment required for those who attend the session. We want to get together, catch up, and discuss how we can become a more powerful chapter and make good use of limited time and resources.
