[Wamvan] Experience with Women in Film + Television Vancouver?

Hey WAM Vancouver folks,

I'm interested in learning more about the role of a producer for TV shows.
I've had one recommendation to join Women in Film + Television Vancouver (
http://www.womeninfilm.ca), and I was wondering if any of you are currently
a part of this group or have been in the past, and what your experience has
been like.

If any of you have any experience with this network, I'd really appreciate
hearing your two cents (i.e., has it been helpful or informative for you,
is it worth paying the relatively expensive membership fee, etc). Please
