[Wamvan] Fwd: FW: VDLC International Women`s Day dinner March 8th

Hi folks,

IWD is coming up in a little over a month and I'll be speaking at the
Vancouver & District Labour Council's dinner on March 8 at the Fraserview
Hall, along with long-time activist Marion Pollack, as part of an
intergenerational feminist evening. There will be delicious Indian food
(including vegetarian options) and musical entertainment by the No Shit
Shirleys.

Tickets are $40 or $30 for underemployed/students. There are also tables
available for organizations for free but the person staffing must buy their
ticket for the dinner. Understand this still won't be affordable for some
folks, but if you're able, around and interested I hope you can make it
out! And if any other organizations you're involved in might be interested
in having a table there, feel free to send them the info below. The event
usually draws at least a couple hundred people.

organizations with a focus on women`s issues to promote your activities or
invite membership.  Please note that individuals doing the tabling will
need to purchase a ticket, but there is no charge for the table.  Contact
me at the VDLC if you wish to be considered for one of these information
tables. ****
