Hi All!

My name is Sharon Haywood and I am a Canadian freelance writer and editor,
originally from Toronto and based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am
co-editor of AdiosBarbie.com <http://adiosbarbie.com/>, the body image site
for every body founded in 1998. (I've been a proud member of the Adios team
since 2009.) As well, I am the founder and director of
AnyBodyArgentina.org<http://anybodyargentina.org/>,
an NGO dedicated to fighting rampant size discrimination in Argentina since
2009; AnyBody Argentina is part of the international movement,
EndangeredBodies.org <http://endangeredbodies.org/>, which currently has
eight chapters around the world focusing on challenging the merchants of
body hatred who teach children and adults to hate their own bodies.

You can read my work on Adios Barbie and Any-Body.org
<http://any-body.org/>(the UK branch of Endangered Bodies) as well as
in Herizons. This March I
will also be published in an awesome anthology of 50 women writers,
including the amazing Margaret Atwood, called Fifty Shades of Feminism:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fifty-Shades-Feminism-Lisa-Appignanesi/dp/1844089452(The
publisher is based in the UK but they are in process of securing a
North American publisher.)

I'm thrilled to have met Joanna Chiu virtually who connected me to this
online community and it is my hope to meet all of you the next time I'm on
the west coast. If there are any Toronto-based members, please feel free to
write me off-list as I do travel to Toronto a few times a year.

Wonderful to learn more about all of you!
