[Wamvan] MMM Google Chat tonight at 7 - INSTRUCTIONS

Hey everyone!

Looking forward to our virtual meet up in about an hour.

There's still lots of time to join if you like. Email the listserv with
your name and gmail account. If you don't have a gmail account, scroll to
the bottom of this email to find instructions. *This goes for you, too Jill
- *we got your request to join but we see you have a hotmail account.
Please see the bottom of this email for more instructions. We want to make
sure you can participate!

So far, we're expecting:

Joanna
Elyse
me (Natalie)
Carla
Ariel
Jess
Jarrah
Candace
and the person using editor at vitaminw.co (please tell us your name! :)

Those of you named above:

   1. Sometime before 7, go to your gmail inbox
   2. Look on the lefthand side, under your email folders and find a buddy
   icon (it's a blank messenger icon if you do not have a google profile set
   up, or it will have your profile picture there if you have set one)
   3. Look below that and see a list of your contacts
   4. In that area you should see a message saying that
"nhill10 at gmail.comwants to chat with you" - click Yes

At 6:50PM, I will create a new chat and invite all of you to join. If you
have not accepted my invitation to chat with me (step 4 above) you won't be
able to participate. Make sure you do this first.

Once everyone joins the conversation, we'll check in to make sure
everyone's good to go, lay out some structure to the convo, and get going!

If you have any trouble, feel free to call me (Natalie) at 604 363 3201 and
I'll walk you through it :)

*Now, Jill, and anyone else who still wants to join but isn't on Google:*

Instructions to create a google account:

   1. go to google.com
   2. click on 'sign in' in top right corner
   3. it will take you to a sign in page --> click 'sign up' in red in the
   top right corner
   4. fill out the sign up form (if you do not want to use google at all in
   the future, just create a dummy account to use this one time)
   5. once you submit the information, you are taken to your google profile
   page. it will ask you to create a profile picture --> click 'next step'
   (skip this)
   6. it will then say "welcome ______!"
   7. look across the top of that page and find 'Gmail' --> click this tab
   8. the page that will open is your gmail inbox

then:
email the listserv to let us know the username you created (from your main
email account - the one you use in the listserv already)
I will add your new gmail account as a contact

finally: refresh your gmail inbox and you will see an invitation to chat in
the chat box on the lefthand side. click 'yes'.

I will invite you to join the chat.
