[Wamvan] This Monday! Virtual Round Table with WAM! Vancouver

Hello all!

This coming Monday, WAM! Vancouver will host an online version of Monday
Media Mutiny. This time around, we will meet on *Google Chat* for a
one-hour Virtual Round Table.

Details:
*Monday, April 22nd*
*7-8pm PST*
Topics of discussion: Coverage of teenage sexual assault / social media /
porn - rape culture / cyber harassment, stalking and violence, etc., and
how all of these things have been explored and debated in the media
recently. Patterns we've noticed, common narratives, things we saw or read
that we liked / things we didn't, etc. Cases: Rehtaeh Parsons, Steubenville
rape, etc.

*If you're interested in joining us, please respond to this thread with
your Gmail address or Google username.* Anyone with a Gmail/Google account
can use Google Chat. We will sign into Google Chat just before 7pm on
Monday and will add all interested folks to the conversation.

If you have any questions or specific points related to the general topic
that you'd especially like to discuss with the WAM!Van community, please
don't hesitate to let us know!
