[Wamvan] UBC V-Day 2013 Coordinator Call-Out!

I hold myriad critiques of the Vagina Monologues including but not limited
to the colonial reduction of "Third World" women and girls, the
organization of womanhood around 'vaginas' and hence the exclusion of many
trans women from that category. These critiques embedded, V-Day raises
important funds and awareness around violence against (female-bodied) women
and rocked my naive feminist self six years ago with rad displays of female
sexual empowerment!

Hello lovely vagina warriors and supporters! Please distribute this far and
wide!


We had an amazing time coordinating this year’s UBC V-Day, but the time has
come for us to pass the torch of gender justice on to the next group of
committed folk!



If you are interested in coordinating UBC VDay 2013, please send us an
email to ubcvday at gmail.com by Friday, June 15th explaining:

1)      Why you would like to coordinate

2)      What skills you will bring to the movement and the production

3)      What are some of your specific plans with the Pussy Posse and the
show(s)



Once we have received your email, we may schedule a 15-20 minute meeting
with you to further discuss your plans. We will be choosing 5 dedicated,
fantastic people with a breadth of skills to coordinate next year’s UBCV-Day
. Amongst the five chosen, the following roles will be negotiated:
producer, director(s), treasurer, Pussy Posse leader, and promotions/design
director.



One word of advice is to not apply as a group or specify who you would
ideally work with. We are looking for people who are open to working with a
variety of people.
