[Wamvan] UPCOMING CLOTHING SWAP!

Hi there WAM!van folks

this is just a heads up that i am organizing a clothing swap for
mid-june. many details are still pending, but i thought i would send
this out as an early warning, for those of you about to donate your
clothes as part of a spring clean, or saving up to buy some new digs.

this clothing swap is what we as a community make of it (so start
sorting and sharing the news!). i look forward to
meeting/seeing/reconnecting with the lovely folks i've met along the
wam! path. i am also hoping to raise some $ for the grassroots
organization Forest and the Femme Society (info pasted below).

Info on Forest and the Femme Society:

Forest and the Femme Society is an outdoor recreation group based out
of Vancouver BC. We are committed to connecting marginalized, high
risk women, in particular those with traits resembling Fetal Alcohol
Spectrum Disorder, with the areas outdoor opportunities. Our mission
is to provide this underserved population with a chance to experience
the benefits of nature and in doing so creating opportunity to achieve
a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. The program is dedicated to
serving women with multiple barriers towards accessing existing
opportunities. These barriers include cognitive impairment,
addictions, poverty, racial oppression and involvement in the survival
sex trade.
