We at the Aboriginal Front Door Society create hope and offer support
through Aboriginal cultural traditions, caring and acceptance.

Our welcoming meeting place and drop-in centre offers social and communal
services.  On any given day we might help our clients manage a crisis,
navigate the legal system or obtain long-term interventions and supports
such as trauma counselling.

Our goal is to restore respect, dignity and pride to some of the most
impoverished people in Vancouver.

Eastside.*

"54% of the Aboriginal population in Canada lives in urban centres. One of
the largest Aboriginal communities congregates here in Vancouver, in the
heart of our traditional territory.  It is our role as the traditional
stewards of this land to act as advocates for Aboriginal people, culture,
title and rights.  The Aboriginal Front Door Society serves Aboriginal
people from across the country and is a voice for the vulnerable, the poor
and for the women in the Downtown Eastside. We are pleased to combine our
efforts and to support the organization's fundraiser on March 30. "
