The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is looking for an energetic
individual to provide administrative support to the Community Coordination
for Women’s Safety Program and the EVA BC staff, as well as assist in
coordinating the Be More Than a Bystander program.

*FULL TIME POSITION*

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
· Excellent computer skills; preferably using a Mac computers
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, including
experience in minute taking, research, proof reading, scheduling and
formatting documents
· Ability to deal with complex issues
· Proven prioritizing and multitasking skills
· Proven ability to establish positive working relationships and
partnerships to further program development
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team structure
· Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
· Experience with social media and websites
· Understanding of the dynamics of violence against women
*ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Provide administrative support to Executive Director, Communications
Manager, Office Manager, Regional Coordinators working from outside of the
office and liaise with the program staff;
· Provide program support for the Be More Than a Bystander program,
including scheduling presentations and appearances by the BC Lions players,
gathering information for reporting, and coordinating media
· Provide logistical support to the programs for events such as
meetings, cross-regional conference call discussion groups and training
events;
· Maintain an up-to-date database of key community contacts and
partners;
· Maintain an up-to-date catalogue of current documents;
· Respond to inquiries and make appropriate referrals as needed;
· Take minutes at various meetings, format and distribute them;
· Assist with website maintenance;
· Responsible for social media updates;
· Track and catalogue issues relevant to the sector;
· Proof-read, edit and format documents;
· Compile evaluation forms from various trainings;
· Coordinate the distribution of various resources and materials using
existing databases;
· Moderate listservs;
· Assist with the organization of annual training conference;
· Maintain postage log;
· General administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, faxing,
mailing and preparing packages.
