There is an Aboriginal Lands Resource Management Conference at the Four
Seasons Hotel on Jan 31 and Feb 1st. Info:

A All Nations Land and Resources Mismanagement Gathering has been called
against it (more information below) in support of the cause of saving
lands and resources on January 31 7am-7pm and Feb 1 7am-7pm with a request
for people to come to a demonstration gathering specifically on Tues Jan
31st from 5:30 to 7 pm at 791 West Georgia (outside Four Seasons Hotel).

The conference will allow first nations groups, lawyers, corporations,
federal government, provincial governments, and municipal governments to
teach each other what they are doing to “manage” land and resources
amongst themselves to the exclusion of ALL people on the grass roots level
including, membership, and all Canadian citizens.

At this present time in our community there is no consultation, no
communication, no community involvement, and no community engagement. All
people, all races, that live in the districts, municipalities, urban
centres, on and off reservations will all be affected by the negotiations,
mediation, treaties, land claims, accords, memorandums of understandings,
protocol agreements, intergovernmental agreements, government to
government agreements, land codes, etc…

We are calling on all nations/communities from across the province of
British Columbia to gather in Vancouver Unceded Coast Salish Territories
to oppose this conference and those corporations, businesses, governments,
and chief and council who profit off the “management” of the land. No more
mismanaging the land and resources, no more negotiating the land and
resources, no more buying the land and resources, no more selling the land
and resources, no more trading the land and resources, no more giving away
the land and resources on unceded native lands! Defend all people, protect
the land!
