Dear Friends,


We are Ashley Teja and Chelsea Ousey and we are the 3rd Annual F-Word
Conference Co-Chairs. Planning for the 2012 conference is well
underway and we would like to take this opportunity to give you some
important information about this year's conference.

Save the Date

This year's conference will be held on Saturday, April 28th from
9am-6pm. It will take place in Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the
University of British Columbia's Vancouver Campus. The conference is
FREE and event registration is now open! This includes a light
breakfast, lunch and dinner! To register please visit:

The Planning Committee

We would like to introduce to you this year's planning committee.
These students have been working hard to pull together a fantastic
program and ensure the event is as accessible as possible.

Submissions

We hope that you will consider submitting your undergraduate research
work to this year’s conference. We will be looking for 15 minute panel
presentations as well as hour-long student-led workshops. Submissions
may be individual, with a partner or in a team. Submissions deadline
is March 5th, 2012 at midnight. The call for submissions poster is

Accessibility

The F-Word Conference is proud to provide free childcare available for
all conference participants, panellists, facilitators, moderators and
community organizations. Additionally, we will have a small budget for
travel subsidies to cover expenses such as parking or bus tickets. If
you will require a subsidy, please contact us at
wagsconference at gmail.com in advance.


Musqueam Territory

The F-Word Planning Committee recognizes that the conference will be
held on the unceded land of the Musqueam Territory.
