[Wamvan] Transgender rights activism in Canada--resources and contacts for column?

C-389 went through First Reading in the Senate last Feb but died on the
order paper when an election was called (

The MP who had brought it forward, Bill Siksay, retired but the new NDP
LGBT critic Randall Garrison brought the bill forward again this past
September (

It will have to be passed again by the House and Senate, which seems more
unlikely given our Conservative majority.
