Hey everyone,

I'm working on a Herizons column where I'll look ahead to the coming year
of the transgender rights movement in Canada and argue that feminists must
be involved in this movement. Can anyone direct me to some good resources
and people to talk to? I'm going to hit up Tami of course!

And can someone explain to me the current status of Bill C-389, the bill to
include "gender identity" and "gender expression" as prohibited grounds of
discrimination in the Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code? I haven't
been able to find up-to-date information online. Has it been passed or is
it stuck in the Senate or what?

Alternatively, if you have any personal experiences of encountering
feminist organization, groups or individuals who did not support
transgender rights in any way, I'd love to hear from you. Please message me
off-list.

Thanks in advance!

Joanna
