[Wamvan] 2012 WAM! Vancouver Conference - Call for Workshop Ideas

Greetings WAMmers!

As many of you already know, this year's conference is coming up soon! It
is tentatively scheduled for *March 31st*.

The theme of this year's conference: UPRISING.

In this conference we will examine the media's coverage of various
important "uprisings" that have taken place in the past year - SlutWalk,
the Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street, and others - and discuss how the media
helps to shape popular perception and opinion of revolutionary movements
such as these.

We are looking for ideas for conference workshops, as well as ideas for a
possible keynote speaker.

Is there anything under this thematic umbrella that you would like to see
discussed in detail at the conference? Any creative or interactive ways in
which it could be presented?
