About SFPIRG The SFPIRG Public Interest Research Group, aka SFPIRG, is a
student-funded and student-directed resource centre dedicated to
environmental and social justice. PIRG's were established across North
American campuses in the 1970's and 80's as a way for students to advocate
for change.
SFPIRG was set-up by students on SFU's Burnaby campus in 1981 - we're
currently celebrating our 30th birthday!
Our mission is to work towards a just and sustainable world. Areas of work
include education, action, research and community.
Come find us in *TC326 in the Rotunda* or drop us a line to get involved!

[image: ARX]SFPIRG's Action Research Exchange (ARX) connects students with
non-profit community organizations that need research, but have limited
resources. Students can take on an ARX project as part of their coursework
(for credit), or independently. By taking part in ARX, you can integrate
more community-directed research into your education, and support the
development & sustainability of valuable community organizations. Check out
all the current research proposals at

No Blame, No Shame Intro to Anti-Oppression Workshop *Thurs. Feb 9th
1-3:30pm @ MBC2294*
Systemic forms of oppression are issues within our communities, our
organizations, our school & academic departments, and our personal
relationships. We know - or have been told - that they cause real harm. We
know that we want things to be fair - equal - just. What we may not know is
how to translate our good intentions into meaningful action for change.
Join us for a workshop that will explore the answers to these questions. *Email
arx at sfpirg.ca to register.*
