Full disclosure: I love the CBC. Specifically, CBC Radio. It has some bad
programming, and its news is problematic and rage-inducing at times, but
for the most part, I am a satisfied, avid listener.

That said, the CBC still does what are essentially radio soap operas. Some
people might laugh, but they can be awesome! They just launched a new
series today called "Trust, Inc."

The show is about a young woman named Serena Jordan, a young employee at a
Canadian Public Relations firm. In the first episode she is sexually
harassed by a client. She is faced with the terrible dilemma of how to
deal with what has happened to her in her stressful, high-pressure work
environment that is very much a "boy's club." There's also some
foreshadowing that Serena's female boss will be all-business and
non-supportive when she discloses her assault.

I thought this choice was very interesting, and am curious to see how the
show progresses.

I also thought this was an interesting case of mainstream media attempting
to represent a woman's experience in another media industry (PR).

For anyone who's interested, the show airs on CBC Radio One on Thursdays at
11:30am. Here is the show website (where you can also listen to shows):
