RH Reality Check, if you haven't heard of it, is a very well-respected and
high-quality reproductive rights and general women's rights online
publication based in the U.S. As far as I know, you don't need to be
American or live in America to work as their intern, as long as you're very
familiar with U.S. politics, especially pertaining to reproductive and
sexual justice rights.

I've done organizing work with the editor, Jodi Jacobson, and she's an
amazing person. Not at all the kind of boss who would take advantage of an
intern.

Lemme know if you have any questions about RH!

**************************************
*RH Reality Check *(www.rhrealitycheck.org)* *is an award-winning daily
online publication on reproductive and sexual health and rights issues. We
provide news, analysis, and commentary on reproductive and sexual justice
issues. Our small staff is growing and we hope to add a qualified intern
to our team.

*MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:*

The following are non-negotiables. Please do not apply if you do not meet
these criteria as we will not be able to consider your application.

   - Demonstrated ability to conduct research and investigation into
specific issues, policymakers, and laws. By demonstrated, we mean just
that: Demonstrated ability as in proven past experience and solid research
   skills.

   - Familiarity with real research techniques. This is not a "Google-it"
job. We expect and require someone to be fanatical about tracking down
information from research and policy journals, political info, news sources
and policy sources, Congress, the Administration, organizations (files and
papers), and from people with expertise or knowledge in a field. Need to
be able to get on the phone and get what is needed.

   - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team; to
take direction and to act on your own when you are following a lead; to
   work off-site.

   - Demonstrated knowledge of and deep interest in policy, politics, and
   reproductive rights and health issues.

   - Motivation, energy, and reliability.

The intern must also have a functioning computer, and reliable internet
access. If necessary, assistance can be provided with a computer, thereby
ensuring that no qualified person who does not currently have a computer is
unable to apply.

*APPLICATION [PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, AS FAILING TO DO SO WILL
DISQUALIFY YOUR APPLICATION FOR, PERHAPS, OBVIOUS REASONS]*

Send the following to apply at rhrealitycheck.org:

A cover letter in the body of your email, clearly articulating exactly why
you qualify, why you are interested in this internship, and when you are
able to start.
A resume
Two writing samples
Three references

Again, failure to provide the above will disqualify your application. We
are sorry, but do not have the time to follow up with people on missing
pieces of their applications.

Thanks and best wishes, Jodi
