                      April is Sexual Assault Awareness month -- and the *new
Circle of 6 anti-violence iPhone app* keeps friends close with an eye to
support each other in tricky situations and help prevent sexual assault.
Two taps is all it takes.

Our goal for our first year is to have the Circle of 6 iPhone app in the
hands of 30,000 college students, and in just two weeks we are almost 2/3
of the way there with 19,000 downloads!! We are using today, in this first
week of April, as a *National Download Day* to encourage students, parents,
advocates and friends to *download the Circle of 6 App. *

We'll be sharing stories and talking about sexual assault prevention (using
hashtag #c6) as we live tweet 3-4pmET today in the weekly #sheparty twitter
discussion. Tune-in for stories and statistics about #techforgood!

I would love to tell you about the enthusiastic reception the Circle of 6
iPhone app is already getting among students. As I've been traveling the
country, screening my documentary The Line (about sexual consent) and
delivering presentations and workshops at numerous colleges, it is clear
that there is a real need, and excitement about how young people can
harness the technology they are already using (seems every college student
has a smartphone?) and their tight-knit social circles to advocate against
sexual violence.
