[Wamvan] Column ideas or thoughts on Jessica Yee's Feminism for REAL for Herizons magazine?

 Hi everyone,

As some of you know, I've recently become Herizons magazine's newest
columnist (yay!). My first column, commenting on Ottawa's recent Women's
Worlds conference, will be published in the next issue of Herizons. Herizons
is Canada's largest national feminist magazine, and I'm honoured to have
such a forum to discuss feminism and Canadian politics!

Sadly, since I'm temporarily living in New York to attend Columbia j-school,
I'm not as in touch with Canadian feminist issues as I should be. If anyone
has suggestions for what my next column should be on, I'm all ears. I'm also
finding your posts on this listserv very helpful. Thanks so much for keeping
me in the loop.

For the next issue of Herizons, I'll also be writing a review of Jessica
Yee's anthology, Feminism for REAL: * Deconstructing the Academic Industrial
Complex of Feminism*.

If you have any comments or opinions on Jessica's very
thought-provoking book, I'd love to know what you think. I know we've
discussed issues surrouding feminism and the academy in the past, and these
issues definitely were in the WAM! organizers' minds when we chose to host
the March Vancouver conference at UBC.
