Hey everyone,

It was great to see some of you at our first WAM Vancouver social tonight!

We watched the documentary, "!Women, Art, Revolution" at the DOXA film
festival. It was about the feminist art movement from the 60's onwards. I
found it very inspiring to see how a relatively small group of women managed
to inspire a revolutionary shift in the white male dominated art world, and
it made me more curious to learn about what's going on with feminist art
now. Does anyone know?

Since it was such a late show, we didn't get to discuss the film afterward
like we had hoped to, but hey, we have this handy dandy listserv to
facilitate discussion! I'd love to hear what others thought of the film.

If you weren't able to attend, you can watch clips from the doc on the
documentary's great website: http://www.womenartrevolution.com/clips.php

PS: A tip I picked up from the WAM! international listserv--Please sign your
emails with your first and last name so we know who you are (since some
email addresses don't include people's names. Thanks!)
