It looks as if quite a few people are not planning to eat dinner together before the film. 
What if we just plan to gather at the Vancity Theatre no later than 8:30 pm to get our reserved tickets, and then everyone who is not too sleepy afterwards can mosey together over to someplace nearby for beer, coffee, or other beverage and we can chat about what we just saw?

Also, is there more than one Nuba?  The one I know about is on Hastings, near W2.  I think it's at least 7, maybe 8 or 9 blocks from Vancity Theatre.
