Hello WAM members! 

It seems as though everyone is a journalist of some sorts! Fantastic, because I hope to become a journalist in the future :) I just finished my first year at SFU... and I'm hoping to study Political Science and International Studies. I know... I'm young and I have quite a lot to learn until I become a journalist, but I hope to learn from you all! 

I've done a bit of journalism work though: I've worked with CBC television and radio regarding the Richmond School Board, and I was also a part of the Sharing the Dream Team (a youth journalism team initiated by the BC Education Leadership Council) during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I was able to interview VANOC officials, athletes, BC's education minister, and students from London as well- one of the most amazing experiences of my life, really :) I'm hoping to write for the Rview newspaper and SFU's student newspaper, The Peak, soon. 

I'm constantly interested in what's happening around the world; you'll always find me sitting in front of a television or computer screen watching and reading the news. Borderline obsession is a more fitting description, I suppose. Apart from my love for journalism, I love to read and write and I'm a rather huge fan of Beyonce. I'm also a chocoholic at heart. I also love to volunteer, thus volunteering takes up much of my time.
