*“I am sending out a link to a HIV CanCure research project survey that is
under way across the country. Looking for a wide sector representation for
response. The researchers recognized that they needed to take the pulse of
those living with HIV to make sure they are on the right track of involving
those living with HIV and the importance of knowledge exchange.*


* Meaningful involvement from people with HIV and affected communities is
crucial for ensuring that HIV cure research is transparent, socially just,
and ethical. Community Advisory Boards (CABs) are a key strategy for
incorporating community input into HIV research.*



*CanCURE is a collaborative group of scientists across Canada focused on
understanding HIV and its persistence in the body. As we prepare our next
grant proposal due in September 2024, we want to gather broader
perspectives from people with HIV beyond the CAB advocates who have been
involved so far. With CAB input, we have developed a survey to identify the
priorities of people living with HIV in Canada for HIV cure research over
the next five years. This will help us shape our research agenda and
community engagement activities to better align with community interests.*

20 minutes. It's about HIV Cure and PLWH knowledge of it, taking the pulse
of our knowledge.*
