time. The exhibition “I’ve Got U Under My Skin: AIDS & Classical Music” at

Malawi choral composition competition themed on AIDS prevention, and much
more. Runs until January 15, 2023.

(Re)conciliation

A core approach of PAN’s work is our commitment to ongoing learning, and we
centre this section in that commitment to see and challenge the harms in
ongoing colonialism. We recognize that the word reconciliation can be
problematic, because it implies there was a good relationship between
Indigenous and non-Indigenous people at some point in time, which isn’t the
case. After much discussion, we choose it because it's a recognizable term,
and hope that it connects people to the important work that needs to be
done.

UBC Learning Circle presents this webinar with Marlee Poole from Vancouver
Aboriginal Health Society on November 22. All are welcome. What can
land-based healing practices look like in cities? How do they connect to
systemic changes (including #LandBack) needed for Indigenous communities to
heal and thrive? How has city planning, as part of colonial “nation
building,” created health inequities by disconnecting urban Indigenous
people from the rich histories and medicines of the land?
