IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!
ICWNA is officially launching Milky Mamas +, the breastfeeding support
group for mothers/expectant mothers living with HIV with an interest in
breastfeeding. This group is intended to exist as an inclusive space to
provide support, information, and resources to mothers living with HIV who
are considering or are currently breastfeeding, who have breastfed, or who
would have wanted to breastfeed, but did not obtain the support to do so.

Looking to the future of this movement, we hope to arrive to a place where
mothers and all parents living with HIV are given the appropriate
information, guidance, and support to make informed infant-feeding
decisions best-suited for their families! We believe this will not only be
empowering, but also reduce ignorance and stigma towards women and parents
living with HIV who choose to breast-feed.

SAVE THE DATE:
We will be holding a webinar on Sunday, May 2nd, 2pm EST hosted by Dr.
Adrienne Uphoff, MD- obstetrician, gynecologist, and lactation specialist.
During this webinar, Dr. Uphoff will be sharing her expertise on the topic
of HIV research- where we are now, where we are headed, and where we need
to be in terms of obtaining support to breastfeed safely with HIV. Be on
the look out for registration to this event in the near future!
