Dear Denise,

For more than 25 years, the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network has been
challenging injustice and defending human rights for all, especially people
living with and affected by HIV. As our work grew, it expanded beyond
borders, which was always our vision. And as time passed, medical
terminology changed. While our original name has served us well, it was
time for a refresh.
We are now the HIV Legal Network!

in strength and solidarity as part of the iconic red ribbon.

Among other things, it highlights key recent achievements in the four
pillars of our work:

   - *Research and analysis* — including our report on the gendered context
   of harm reduction
   - *Litigation and other advocacy* — including our legal cases
   challenging homophobic laws in the Caribbean
   - *Public education* — including our new resources to reframe public
   perceptions of HIV criminalization
   - *Community mobilization* — including our advocacy to support greater
   access to supervised consumption services

You can also learn about our lengthy fight for sterile injection equipment
in prisons, which came to a head in court earlier this year — it has led to
important change, but is far from over.

None of these accomplishments would have happened without supporters like
you. Our work will continue in the months and years ahead as we strive to
embody our new tagline: *Challenging wrongs. Advancing rights. Transforming
lives. *We hope you will continue to support us as we defend and promote
human rights.
