Hi everyone:
I have now taken a look at the site Anne was referring to.
If you were entitled to something from this settlement, you would have been
one of those who received an email on September 14, 2016, which was sent to
796 members of Positive Living. It seems it was a survey entitled Service
Relevancy Study for Positive Living BC and the email addresses of each
person receiving the email were mistakenly put in the cc part of the email
and not the bcc. I have looked back at my emas and did not receive one on
that date. If you were part of those receiving the email, you may have
received an apology email in March 2020 but if you did not get the apology
and think you were part of the 796 members then it is wise to make a claim.
You are also entitled to wave your right to a claim.
Anne has provided a link and I followed that and went down the rabbit hole
of other links, which is important to do. No names are published by
Rosenberg Law as to who will receive the amount (approximately $1,000.00
per person) as all names are part of the member list held by Positive
Living Society and since that Society is no longer in existence, I wouldn't
have any idea how to obtain a copy of the membership list. However, if you
think you may be entitled then I would imagine it's best to claim. You will
need your membership number. This was originally on a membership card (I
still have mine). I am not sure how you get it if you no longer have that
card. I would imagine that the law firm handling the case - Rosenberg Law -
would know how to find that out but I have no idea since Positive Living is
no longer in existence.
I hope this is of help to any of you who believe they may be entitled to
some payout.
