Subject: Seeking for Real Stories for the Dissemination of the Updated
Canadian HIV Pregnancy and Planning Guidelines (CHPPG)
To: Denise Wozniak <deniseswozniak at gmail.com>
Dear Denise
How are you? I hope this finds you well and that you and your loved ones
are in good health. I saw that you went to get your hair done; am so glad
that you went to give yourself a treat!
The Updated Canadian HIV Pregnancy and Planning Guidelines (CHPPG) Project
Team is currently developing creative* campaign* and knowledge
dissemination materials *to support the needs of the community on Pregnancy
and Parenting Planning and HIV in Canada*. The information we want to
share is based on the clinical Canadian HIV Pregnancy Planning Guidelines (
https://www.jogc.com/article/S1701-2163(17)30701-6/pdf) as well as a recent
publication by CATIE based on these guidelines (
http://librarypdf.catie.ca/ATI-40000s/40276.pdf).
The proposed plain-language campaign will involve materials like videos,
print resources, posters, maybe podcasts. Right now, we are hoping to *connect
with individuals, couples, and families from across Canada who are
interested and willing to be involved in this campaign*. Specifically, we
are looking for individuals, couples, and families living with or affected
by HIV who have experience with one or more of the following:
· planning a pregnancy as a couple or single person, with or
without the help of a fertility clinic;
· who have become parents through pregnancy, adoption, or
surrogacy;
· used strategies to prevent or delay pregnancy.
We are looking for real stories that can be highlighted in the campaign
alongside the clinical guidelines. Your participation will be compensated
and we plan to do all of this work remotely. Since we recognize the issues
and concerns around confidentiality, privacy and various levels of comfort
for individuals as related to the sharing of their personal stories, our
team would be happy to hear from you and assess if and how the project can
support your engagement with the project in a way that make sense for you.
Or if you may know someone who may be able to offer such stories, please
kindly pass this email along and ask them to contact me achui108 at gmail.com
or Logan Kennedy Implementation Lead of the Canadian HIV Pregnancy Planning
Guidelines Team at Logan.Kennedy at wchospital.ca.
