Dear Shelly,

We are living in uncertain times right now but one this is for sure; AIDS
Vancouver will not stop serving our clients in the best way that we can.

Earlier this week, we locked our front door, only to secure the building so
our staff could work in a safe environment. Case Management Services was in
full operation via email and phone calls.

Health Promotion Case Managers are working from home and are contacting
clients through a variety of methods. Our Resource Centre remains closed.
However, if clients require harm reduction supplies, they can call our
Receptionist who will deliver a bag of supplies to the front door.

Any client who does not have access to a phone or email can come to our
front door and will be put in touch with a Case Manager.

Our Supplementary Grocery Program remains operational on the established
grocery days. Please check our website for dates. We will only be allowing
two people at one time into our lobby to pick up pre-packaged grocery bags
for the time being.

We have asked our wonderful volunteers to remain at their homes during this
time. All other services have been temporarily suspended.

On April 1, 2020, AIDS Vancouver will commence operations of the Peer
Navigation Services. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, all Peer
Navigators will be working from their homes and contacting clients through
their cell phones and email.

We wish to thank all of the health care workers we are working with out
there and wish everyone to remain safe and healthy. We will get through
this together. Wash your hands and stay 2 metres apart from each other.

*We can’t do this alone*.
