tansi people,
tami here.
founding member of VIVA and listserv admin/creator.
blaaa blaaa...and so on and so on.
i exclaim the blaa blaaas......because our world is so upside down and
backwards with titles and social agency abusers.
I call much of it - colonization.
i definitely am acutely aware of the covid-19 scare that is happening.
all over the news - matter of fact - it is all there is to report about
now, it seems. thats some bullshit.
i am down with educating the public about minimizing its spread and
especially for people like us, with compromised immunity and other
conditions that makes ones health a vulnerable population.
i have been in the background of VIVA for sometime now. years actually.
a few reasons, one being how much supports and lowering transmission rates,
better meds and so on.
that and the amount of cis white men running the non profit industrial
complex since the big hay days in the late 1990's.
i certainly have witnessed my fare share of oppression within VIVA as a two
spirit trans experienced woman.
for me, that is paramount to strong inclusive circles. that airy fairy
nonsense that there is some magical unity that appears out of the sky?
hardly, it is hard and fought for by the very people DIRECTLY AFFECTED.
this is easily understood by those positive people who fought for their
place in the world, especially the medical community. GIPA/MIPA.
i wonder how many in this list are anti trans?
division and oppression are viruses. they toxify and harm our community
daily, unless checked and treated - through education and awareness.
in these coming days, maybe weeks, lets remain aware and do the work to
ensure our community is diverse and inclusive, with strong circles.
that through sharing, education and awareness - we can overcome anything.
ALL OUR RELATIONS
