Research has been building for years, and several large studies have now
confirmed it. People living with HIV on effective treatment can’t pass it on

to a sexual partner.
But this message still hasn’t reached the people who could benefit the
most. In a pan-Canadian online survey CATIE conducted over the summer, 44
per cent of respondents didn’t believe this fact was true. Even among
HIV-positive respondents, one out of five was skeptical. And among service
providers, 31 per cent were not fully confident in the science.
