Hello!

I received the message below from a colleague who works in Maternal Health.
Her team is conducting a Canada-wide study on Respectful Maternity Care and
are looking to engage a woman living with HIV in Canada as a pilot tester
of their survey tool. There is a $100 honorarium. If you are interested in
pilot testing the survey, please contact Tamil Kendall directly at
tkendall at mail.ubc.ca.

Tamil created the attached document which describes the project and the
role--and provides a place for the information that she needs to give to
nominate pilot testers. The final decisions on who is selected as
pilot testers will be made by the study PI (Saras Vedam). One key
eligibility criteria to be a pilot tester is: "*have received maternity
care in Canada in the last 10 years (2009-2019)*”

Once the survey is validated, there will be opportunities for more women to
participate in the study.

Please feel free to forward to other women who might be interested in
contributing to this work.

Thank you!
Angela.

Dear Angela,
I hope you are well. I am collaborating with Saraswati Vedam on a Canada
wide study on Respectful Maternity Care. I think it would be really
important to have a woman living with HIV participate as a pilot tester,
and thought of reaching out to you to help identify someone. Since Saras
and the team are based in BC, a woman from another province would be ideal,
but she could be BC based. These are the criteria:

*In preparation for pilot testing the survey, we need your help to recruit **60
people who have experienced a pregnancy in Canada within the past 10 years.
We are looking for a diverse group of participants, from different
communities and geographic regions of the country. *

Each content validator will receive $100 as a gift of appreciation for
pilot testing the survey. I have attached an information sheet that
outline the criteria for nominees and the selection process.

If you have contacts who want to reach out to me, I would be most
appreciative.

Also, I am living up on Burnaby mountain these days. If you have time for a
coffee sometime when you are up on the hill it would be lovely to see you.

All best,
Tamil
