*2019 HIV Endgame Call!*

The Ontario HIV Treatment Network is pleased to announce the launch of
the *2019
HIV Endgame Program*!

There are three streams available, and the Letter of Intent deadline
is *Friday,
July 12, 2019*!

   1. *Endgame Leader**:* Support for leaders at different stages of their
   careers who are interested in working with the OHTN to drive change.
   2. *Game Changer*: Project support to generate game-changing knowledge,
   pilot and scale-up game-changing interventions.
   3. *Community-Based Project and Participatory Evaluation Awards*:
   Project support for community-based agencies and people living with HIV to
   undertake projects and evaluation that will have a meaningful impact on
   programs and services for those most affected by HIV.

We are seeking proposals for innovative programs that:

   - Meet the needs of populations in Ontario most affected by HIV
   - Focus on improving front line services
   - Drive change in policy and practice across the HIV prevention,
   engagement, and care cascade
   - Lead to more integrated health and social services
   - Identify effective ways to address the social determinants that have a
   negative impact on the health of communities most affected by HIV
   - Contribute to a rapid learning HIV health and social system
   - Achieve impact.

On *June 13 2019*, Universities Without Walls will host *The Positive
Effect: an online conference in the fight against HIV stigma

All you need is a computer and an internet connection. The program is
packed with academic and community presentations including Carmen Logie
(Associate Professor; Canada Research Chair in Global Health Equity and
Social Justice with Marginalized Populations), James Tyson (HIV + comedian
& actor), Mark S. King (HIV + activist and blogger), Jade Elektra (Fab HIV+
Drag Recording Artist, DJ, Actress & Activist), Sean Rourke (Scientist, Li
Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital).

All sessions will be moderated by people living with HIV.

UWW is also hosting a Media Fair with exciting, genre-busting, audiovisual

*2019 Symposium on HIV, Law and Human Rights*

Join the *Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network* for an all-day discussion of
science, law and advocacy related to HIV criminalization. They will be
joined by Federal Minister of Justice and Attorney General David Lametti,
among other distinguished speakers and guests. This is a unique opportunity
to learn about the unjust criminalization of people living with HIV.

*OHTN SENIOR EPIDEMIOLOGIST/BIOSTATISTICIAN*.
The Senior Epidemiologist/Biostatistician is responsible for the OHTN
Cohort Study (OCS) data platform, and its connection to other health/social
data systems, and administrative data. The Senior
Epidemiologist/Biostatistician will ensure data quality and security,
oversee the creation of the research data set, and conduct epidemiological
and statistical analysis.

This is a permanent, full-time position reporting into the Director, Data
and Applied Science Impact.
