CAHR 2019 Conference
  CAHR would like to thank the nearly 700 individuals that attended CAHR
2019 in Saskatoon.  With a theme of “Wuniska!”, CAHR 2019 had a stellar
program of world-renowned speakers and presentations of leading research.

The 29th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research (CAHR 2020) will

Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI 2019)
  CAHR is pleased to present a scientific summary of the major clinical
studies presented at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic
Infections (CROI 2019).  This presentation is part of a larger effort by
CAHR to enhance the uptake of clinical HIV research advances presented at
major research conferences.  CAHR thanks Dr. Jonathan Angel and Dr. Daniel
Hayes for their expertise in assembling this presentation and recognizes
the support of an educational grant from ViiV Healthcare in making this

Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) HIV/AIDS and Sexually
Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections (STBBI) Strategic Plan Stakeholder
consultation
  CIHR is consulting with the HIV community to develop a five-year
(2020-2025) Strategic Plan on HIV/AIDS Research with consideration for
other STBBI. As outlined in Reducing the Health Impact of Sexually
Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections in Canada by 2030; A PAN-CANADIAN
FRAMEWORK FOR ACTION, Canada will use an integrated approach to HIV and
STBBI across the full continuum of prevention, testing, initiation of care
and treatment and ongoing care and support. CIHR is now consulting with
researchers and the community to develop future research priorities for all
four CIHR areas of research (biomedical, clinical, health systems and

Congrès 2019 de l’ACRV
  L’ACRV souhaite remercier chaleureusement les près de 700 personnes qui

Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI 2019)
L’ACRV a le grand plaisir de présenter un résumé scientifique des
principales études cliniques exposées au CROI 2019 (congrès sur les
rétrovirus et les infections opportunistes ou Conference on Retroviruses
and Opportunistic Infections). Cet exposé fait partie d’un effort plus
global de l’ACRV de favoriser l’adoption des progrès issus de la recherche
clinique sur le VIH et présentés aux principaux congrès de recherche.
L’ACRV adresse ses remerciements au Dr Jonathan Angel et au Dr Daniel Hayes
qui ont mis à contribution leur expertise pour assembler cet exposé, pour
lequel nous reconnaissons le soutien de ViiV Soins de santé qui a rendu la

Consultation des intervenants sur le plan stratégique des Instituts de
recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC) sur le VIH/sida et les infections
transmissibles sexuellement et par le sang (ITSS)
Les ISRSC mènent des consultations avec la collectivité du VIH afin
d’élaborer un plan stratégique quinquennal (2020-2025) sur la recherche sur
le VIH/sida en tenant également compte des autres ITSS. Tel que précisé
dans le document Réduction des répercussions sur la santé des infections
transmissibles sexuellement par le sang au Canada d’ici 2030 : UN CADRE
D’ACTION PANCANADIEN SUR LES ITSS, le Canada adoptera une approche intégrée
au VIH et aux ITSS dans l’ensemble du continuum de prévention, du
dépistage, au début des soins et du traitement, et jusqu’aux soins courants
et au soutien. Les IRSC consultent actuellement les chercheurs et la
collectivité afin de préciser les priorités de recherche futures pour tous
les domaines de recherche des IRSC (recherches biomédicales, cliniques,
systèmes de santé et santé des populations). Pour recevoir un questionnaire
