Hi.

I know that you are busy and this may not go out right away - AND I also
know that you will be helpful.

This is a play reading I wish I could attend. Rick is looking for input and
I know that viva women could offer some wonderfully useful suggestions.  I
arrive back from Ontario late on Dec 1. I shoulda known. Please forward it

Secret/e, a new play written by Jessie award winner Rick Waines, is
concerned with the criminalization of HIV, which is when disclosure of HIV
status fails to occur between two, otherwise consenting, adults. Canada
leads the way with 184 of these prosecutions.

Secret/e, places the audience in the minds of a man as he tries to
reconcile a decision to not disclose, of the woman exposed, and the officer
tasked with the job of investigating the crime.

So much is unsaid when we are inside these moments of discovering one
another. We ignore all the spoken, disguised warnings. We employ willful
blindness in the pursuit of what is an intimate and nakedly honest act: sex.

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, which last
year invested $153 million to bring the arts to Canadians throughout the
country.
