*WORLD AIDS DAY 2018*
*Live life positively – know your HIV status*

As we commemorate the 30th World AIDS Day, UNAIDS is making a global call
for increased access to HIV testing and increased uptake of HIV testing.
This is to ensure that the 9.4 million people around the world who are
unaware of their HIV-positive status can access treatment and that people
who are HIV-negative can continue to protect themselves against the virus.

The theme for this year’s World AIDS Day is *Live life positively—know your
HIV status.* UNAIDS has prepared a range of communications
materials that are now available to download from the UNAIDS website at
https://knowyourstatus.unaids.org

On the special site you will find two brochures providing more information
on HIV testing. One gives an overview of the challenges and ways forward, *Live
life positively—know your HIV status*

and
the other is a guide to HIV testing, *What you need to know about HIV
testing*

.

In addition, there is a set of tweets, posters and postcards to use on
social media and for your World AIDS Day events as well as infographics,
animations and videos, including a collaboration with Google on a
special series of virtual reality films focused on HIV testing that use the
latest 360-degree technology to help demystify HIV testing.

Finally, we have created a short quiz, the Test test, which provides
information about risk factors and gives advice on the need to take an HIV
test.
